This painting has textural elements created using acrylic mediums. It has been sanded at various stages to impart a subtle texture. In this painting, Juliet’s words to her Romeo are written beneath the pomegranates and the nightingale. The bird represented here is indeed the nightingale. The pomegranates and background were painted initially with watercolours and finished with acrylic paint. Sealed with a polymer varnish for a satin finish. 60x60cm mixed media on birch wood, (2cm depth).  Unframed, ready to hang.
