Upcoming shows:

A Fragile Piece is a collaborative exhibition, 27 March to 2 April, which seeks to illustrate how bare earth seems stark, tough and barren at first glance, yet supports and nurtures the leafy, featured and flowing beauty that springs from it, clings on, and transforms to energy.  A reminder of the necessary but fragile balance we all depend on to thrive on earth. Open daily, 10am to 5pm.  Opening night, Friday, 28 March, 6-8pm

What is Giclee?

The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto a high-quality paper. The smooth transitions of colour gradients make giclée prints appear much more realistic than other prints. is superior to other types of printing and the closest to the artist's actual painting. To be able to make such a high-quality print, the camera or scanner used to capture or scan the art must be able to do so with a high level of resolution.

My works are printed on the 100% cotton rag 310gsm fine art paper, which will last a lifetime.  (I collaborate with Find Art Imaging, Balmain NSW, link below).  All Limited Edition prints are signed and inscribed with the number of the print. Because they are printed on demand, they’re available in various sizes. They are delivered to the collector unframed, in a postal mailing tube insuring they arrive undamaged.

About my journey
Poppies_edited.jpg

I believe that Art can be found in everything and anything one chooses.  I see art in the clouds.  In the cracks of a sidewalk.  In the sound of wind whistling through trees.  Art affects the senses:  what we see and touch may elicit a smell, a sound or even a taste.  Because these senses are unique for everyone, the art  experience is different for everyone.

When I create I get the greatest joy and satisfaction when  the work evokes my senses.   I let the images develop organically - when I begin a new piece I have an idea in my head but the result is often radically different when I finish.   To that end, I use media and colour in unconventional ways.  Juxtaposing contrasting mediums, glazing and layering unrelated colours, all meant to evoke emotions in the finished product.  I allow the creative journey to take over,  much like nature, when left to its own space, reclaims what humans have put in place.  In my pieces, you'll see these layers if you look closely.   Many of my pieces are textural - I encourage touching.  And finally, I lean toward the natural world,  because for me, nature in its myriad manifestations, brings out my emotions.

I hope you enjoy what you see.
